GameStop Responds to Damage of Switch 2 Screens

GameStop addresses a situation where a store accidentally damaged several Nintendo Switch 2 screens while stapling receipts.

GameStop has playfully addressed the issue of broken screens on the Nintendo Switch 2 following reports that a New York store accidentally damaged several units while stapling receipts. The mishap gained attention as some customers showcased their damaged screens online. In response, GameStop stated that the matter has been resolved, with refunds provided and staplers taken away from the store to prevent future incidents.

After years of anticipation, Nintendo fans finally received their consoles, but this unfortunate situation added to the frustration for some gamers. Reports indicated that during the receipt stapling, the fragile screens were inadvertently punctured, leading to damage. In light of this, GameStop has been proactive in offering replacement consoles to affected customers and has joked about confiscating staplers to safeguard future deliveries.

Despite this unfortunate incident, many fans are enjoying their new consoles. However, there have also been reports of game-breaking bugs with certain titles on the new hardware, including issues in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate when played online with mixed console generations.
