Dune: Awakening Maintains MMO Standards Despite Server Launch Issues

Players have encountered server access troubles, but a straightforward solution offers hope for smooth gameplay.

The early access for Dune: Awakening has begun for users of deluxe and ultimate editions. Despite developer Funcom’s reassurances against server complications, players are facing difficulties accessing servers. Fortunately, the issue seems minor with a simple fix available.

If you’re encountering server issues, don’t panic. Funcom addressed this on their Dune: Awakening Discord, clarifying that many players are in the same boat. Here are two suggested solutions:

  1. Restart your client: It’s possible that Steam hasn’t applied the latest update for the game.
  2. Change your game region: If you’ve played in beta form, your game may be set to a beta region by default. Adjusting it can solve the problem.

Both Chris Livingston and Andrea Shearon confirmed that these solutions worked for them, offering hope that other players can rectify the same issue.
