Nioh 3 featuring the legendary Tokugawa coming to PC in early 2026

The upcoming Nioh 3 will introduce players to Tokugawa Ieyasu, the infamous warlord from Japan's Warring States period.

At the recent State of Play showcase, Koei Tecmo announced Nioh 3, the next installment in the beloved Soulslike franchise. This title will let players step into the shoes of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the notable founder of the Tokugawa Shogunate, known for unifying Japan and ending the Warring States period.

The game promises to mix traditional samurai combat with a ninja style, adding depth to gameplay through a variety of mechanics including weapon stances, randomized loot, and specialized skill trees. Players can expect an engaging storyline woven with creative interpretations of Japanese history.

One highlight from the announcement trailer features Tokugawa declaring his name, Takechiyo, signaling a narrative rich with strategic intrigue.

Nioh 3 is set to launch not only on PS5 but also on PC on the same day—early 2026. This will be a first for the series!
