The trailer for Romeo is a Dead Man, a new action game from Suda51’s studio Grasshopper Manufacture, is visually chaotic with heavy gore. Romeo, a cop turned cyborg, battles monsters in a shopping mall, armed with various absurd weapons, including a chainsaw sword. The gameplay features overwhelming amounts of blood and flashy particle effects reminiscent of early 2000s action games, and hints at influences from anime and 16-bit video games. The game will be showcased at Sony’s State of Play, but a PC version is yet to be confirmed.
