In a recent shareholder meeting, TSMC's CEO expressed unwavering confidence in the company's ability to dominate the AI hardware sector, stating that all AI firms will eventually be drawn to them.
TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company) held a shareholder meeting yesterday, demonstrating confidence in its future despite fluctuations in the AI sector. The CEO, Wei Zhejia, stated:
“We don’t need to judge who will win, because they will all come to us in the end.”
This statement reflects TSMC’s pivotal role in producing chips for various AI companies. Wei affirmed that both GPUs and ASICs are manufactured at TSMC, ensuring that the company is well-equipped to meet the demands of AI data centers, which significantly rely on TSMC’s production capabilities.
Wei also noted that the company had faced challenges related to overcapacity in the past but assured stakeholders that they are now better equipped to manage the supply chain and forecast demand accurately. With plans for a $100 billion investment in the U.S. and a new factory in Arizona, TSMC appears poised for continued growth in the semiconductor market, despite any external economic pressures.
