Elden Ring Nightreign to Introduce Duo Expeditions Following Player Requests

FromSoftware will implement Duo Expeditions in Elden Ring Nightreign to cater to players seeking a smaller cooperative experience.

Elden Ring Nightreign has had a slightly tumultuous launch, achieving an impressive 2 million copies sold in just the first 24 hours, yet facing criticism due to player frustrations with its multiplayer system, which originally limited play to either a trio or solo runs.

FromSoftware has responded to this feedback by announcing the introduction of Duo Expeditions, a feature aimed at accommodating players looking to enjoy the game with just one other companion. This update follows their initial adjustments which included buffing singleplayer aspects of the game and allowing auto-resurrect features, acknowledging that the game wasn’t balanced for solo play.

“The Night is far from over. New additions, including enhanced fights against existing Nightlords and Duo Expeditions will be gradually implemented as expressed in a recent social media post by FromSoftware.”

In summary, players can expect exciting changes ahead, including a more personalized multiplayer experience as well as improvements to existing challenges.
