Recently, a peculiar event unfolded at a Micro Center in Silicon Valley involving high-end graphics cards. A purchase intended to be a Zotac RTX 5090 turned out to contain three crossbody backpacks instead. This revelation came to light when a disappointed buyer shared their experience on Reddit, leading to further investigations by store staff.
Upon returning to the store the following day, it was discovered that 31 additional instances of backpacks were found inside packaging meant for RTX 5090 cards. Staff members attributed this issue to potential mishaps at the source in China, indicating that the problem might extend beyond just one location. This incident has raised alarms about the integrity of the supply chain and the possibility of more missing graphics cards in deliveries.

With a total of over $90,000 worth of graphics cards potentially replaced with non-functional items, there is concern that this might not be an isolated case but part of a larger systemic issue affecting distribution. Consequently, it is advised that buyers inspect their purchases thoroughly in-store to avoid similar disappointments.
