New Single-Player Dungeons and Dragons Game Announced by Former Star Wars Director

Stig Asmussen unveils a new single-player action-adventure game set in the Dungeons and Dragons universe from his new studio, Giant Skull.

Stig Asmussen has announced his first project at Giant Skull studio, a new single-player action-adventure game set in the Dungeons and Dragons universe. Previously known for his work on Respawn’s Star Wars Jedi series, Asmussen aims to craft a vibrant world that emphasizes immersive storytelling, thrilling combat, and innovative exploration as stated:

“Our talented and experienced team at Giant Skull is built on creativity and curiosity. Our goal is to craft a rich new Dungeons and Dragons universe filled with immersive storytelling, heroic combat and exhilarating traversal that players will fully embrace.”

With a strong background in game development, including his role as game director on the acclaimed God of War 3, expectations for this new title are high. While not much detail has been revealed yet, Wizards of the Coast is also adapting to the shifts in the gaming landscape post-Baldur’s Gate 3 success.
