A total of 42 newcomers are slated to participate in the BLAST.tv Austin Major scheduled for June. This marks a significant rise from the 25 debutants last seen in Shanghai, which can be attributed partially to Valve’s expansion of the tournament from 24 to 32 teams. The influx of new talent seems to suggest a shifting dynamic in the competition scene.
Two teams will appear with entirely rookie rosters: Nemiga and Chinggis Warriors, while teams such as M80, TYLOO, and B8 boast three rookies each.
Stage 3
Flag Samet “jottAAA” Köklü (22 years old) will be the sole rookie debuting in Stage 3 with an all-Turkish lineup at Aurora. Previously, he competed in the Perfect World Shanghai Major RMR with Sangal.
Stage 2
Five new players will enter Stage 2, featuring local stars such as Michael “Swisher” Schmid from M80, and each will aim to make their mark.
Danil “molodoy” Golubenko and Breno “brnz4n” Poletto are two of the notable entrants.
Stage 1
Stage 1 showcases 36 rookies, notably highlighted by regions like Russia and Sweden, each contributing multiple newcomers, including a significant representation from Nemiga and BetBoom.
