We have made significant progress in liquid cooling technology. Previous generations were known for their noisy operation and potential for leaks. However, a new platform developed by Asetek, named Ingrid, is poised to eliminate pump noise while effectively cooling high-performance CPUs, claiming compatibility with loads of up to 400 W.
While Asetek isn’t a household name in liquid coolers, it has provided its designs to various brands like MSI, Asus, and Corsair. The goal of the Ingrid platform is to maintain excellent thermal performance with a greatly reduced noise level.
“It’s on a level where you can’t hear it.”
Henrik Lindskou-Mouritsen, VP and CSO at Asetek
The Ingrid liquid cooler prototype was displayed at Computex 2025. Asetek aims to focus on minimizing noise in liquid cooling as the industry begins to shift its attention from pure thermal performance to acoustic quality. As stated by Thomas Ditlev, the next innovations may not solely stem from enhanced pump performance, but potentially from the cooling liquids themselves.
Key Features:
- Capable of cooling CPUs with power loads up to 400 W.
- Designed for a quieter operation with reduced vibrations and an easy installation process.
- Availability of three tiers: value, mainstream, and premium.
This advancement indicates Asetek is not only committed to enhancing performance but also to addressing user concerns regarding noise pollution from their cooling solutions.
