MSI Unveils Innovative Flat PinSafe Design Motherboards at Computex 2025
MSI introduces a new motherboard design that prioritizes user safety by eliminating sharp solder points, showcased at Computex 2025.
MSI’s new motherboard featuring a flat design, known as PinSafe Design, is introduced to enhance safety during assembly by reducing sharp solder points. This innovative approach was presented at Computex 2025, highlighting MSI’s commitment to improving user experience in PC building.
Tom’s Hardware mentions the boards as smoother than typical ones, creating a less hazardous environment for PC builders. While some may question the necessity of this upgrade, MSI aims to lessen the chance of injuries while handling motherboards.
The B850MPOWER model represents the first in this new line, signalling more to come with this safer design in the future. MSI also claims enhanced stability and electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection with this new design, even if they provided no specific data to support these claims. This redesign not only focuses on safety but may also cut down production costs with less solder used.
Expect to see a broader range of motherboards adopting this PinSafe concept soon.
