AMD's GPU Chief Talks Aggressive Pricing Strategy for RX 9060 XT
AMD is positioning itself aggressively in the GPU market with the RX 9060 XT, aimed at delivering a great value to gamers.
During a recent roundtable, Jack Huynh, AMD’s senior vice president and leader of the computing and graphics group, emphasized the company’s focus on aggressive pricing for the RX 9060 XT. He stated:
“Building scale is the primary goal. We aim to be as aggressive as possible and provide a remarkable value proposition for our fellow gamers.”
This strategy is centered on balancing competitive pricing with high performance, with the RX 9060 XT priced at $299 for the 8 GB version and $349 for the 16 GB variant. AMD claims that the latter is approximately 6% faster than the RTX 5060 Ti at 1440p.
As the company prepares for the product launch, Huynh assured that AMD is committed to ensuring ample availability to meet demand, aiming to sidestep previous supply issues some have experienced with GPUs. The RX 9060 XT thus represents both an aggressive pricing strategy and a notable advancements in performance, tailored specifically to the gaming market.
