Noctua Collaborates with Pulsar to Develop a Gaming Mouse Featuring a Cooling Fan

Noctua is crafting a new gaming mouse complete with a built-in fan, aimed at cooling players' hands during intense gaming sessions, in partnership with Pulsar.

Noctua is well known for its dominance in the fan industry, creating products that cater to various cooling needs. Recently, the company announced its partnership with Pulsar to develop a gaming mouse equipped with an internal cooling fan to alleviate sweaty palms during extended gameplay. Noctua confirmed that Pulsar approached them for collaboration on their flagship gaming mouse.

The concept isn’t entirely novel; it calls to mind devices like the Zephyr Pro, which have explored similar functionalities. However, with Noctua’s expertise in fan design, there’s reason to believe this new product could successfully refine the idea.

The mouse in question is the Pulsar Feinmann, marketed towards elite gamers as an essential tool characterized by its huge ventilation and design aimed at maximizing airflow in gaming scenarios. Spec-wise, it includes features like 32,000 DPI, 8 kHz polling rate, and comes with a USB-C charging dock. Moreover, the tiny but powerful Noctua NF-A4x10 fan will be incorporated within.

Typically weighing about 65g, this prototype is expected to offer a battery life of around 10 to 11 hours. Although this performance is modest in comparison to contemporary gaming mice, the unique aspect of this design makes it noteworthy. Noctua reassures that this is not just a gimmick; it’s aimed at serious gamers who benefit from reduced sweat hindrance during crucial moments in competitive gaming.

This innovation could change the landscape for competitive gamers, particularly those who experience issues with sweaty hands disrupting their gameplay. As both companies prepare for a 2026 release, all eyes will be on how this mouse performs in real-world gaming conditions.
