TeamGroup Unveils Portable SSD with Unique Data Destruction Feature

The latest portable SSD from TeamGroup offers a novel approach to data security with a physical kill-switch designed for immediate data erasure, catering to privacy-conscious users.

For fans of Mission: Impossible, TeamGroup has released a new portable SSD that caters to those wanting extra data security. The Expert P35S offers a unique feature where users can erase all data by simply pressing a button and sliding a switch, effectively destroying any stored information.

This 2TB model is compact, weighing just 42 grams. With dimensions of 90 mm by 40 mm by 18 mm, it’s designed to be easily held in one hand. Imagine using it for covert operations, much like a scene from your favorite spy film. You can hear the dramatic dialogue as a spy reveals their data storage: “Yeah, I have it—but you never will.”

The performance claims suggest data transfer rates of up to 1,000 MB/s, allowing for fast file transfers—about 10 GB in just 10 seconds. Although this SSD might not make it to the top of our recommended list just yet, it certainly adds a touch of speed to your data storage needs.

TeamGroup is marketing the Expert P35S toward journalists, agents, and those dealing with sensitive information, even hinting at potential defense applications. However, the prospect of very private data being so easily obliterated raises more questions than it answers in terms of security and reliability.
