Asus Introduces Innovative Features with the ROG Falcata Ergonomic Keyboard

The new ROG Falcata by Asus promises enhanced usability with Hall effect keys and split ergonomic design.

Asus has been impressively advancing its gaming keyboard lineup recently. The latest in their collection is the ROG Falcata, which sports a unique split ergonomic design and makes use of Hall effect technology.

This keyboard features a compact 75% layout, ensuring it includes essential keys while omitting the number pad to maximize space. A distinctive trait of the ROG Falcata is its bipartite structure, enabling users to utilize just the left side, hence optimizing mouse movement area.

While I managed a brief hands-on with the Falcata at Computex 2025 in Taiwan, I was able to test its removable feet, which allow for flexible adjustments to cater to various typing postures. Each side boasts four screw holes, permitting the attachment of feet of different heights for an adaptable ergonomic experience. However, this design does demand a bit more effort for modifications compared to other keyboards that feature adjustable feet.

Additional features include a multi-function wheel located on the left, as well as vibrant RGB lighting, signature touches you’d expect from an Asus product.

For better performance, the ROG HFX V2 switches offer adjustable actuation down to 0.01 mm, with compatibility for an array of keycaps available on the market.

Overall, the ROG Falcata is a promising entry into the realm of ergonomic gaming keyboards, but a more extended use will determine if it can claim a spot among the best.
