Good News for Warhammer Fans: Annual Academic Conference Returns This September
The Warhammer Conference will host a variety of scholarly discussions on themes related to the Warhammer universe, aiming to engage both academics and general fans.
In the grim darkness of the 21st century, there exists only academic discourse about the dark tales of the 41st millennium.
Last year marked the inception of the Warhammer Conference, a groundbreaking academic gathering focused on exploring philosophical and scholarly insights into the Warhammer universe. Now, I’m excited to share that the conference is returning this September to Heidelberg, Germany, ready to establish an enduring annual tradition.
Just like last year, attendees can join in person or tune in online through livestreams. “We believe that this conference can engage not only traditional academics but also passionate Warhammer enthusiasts,” said Joachim Besson, the event’s organizer, in a recent press release. “By ensuring all talks are livestreamed and made accessible online, we strive to reach a broad community of Warhammer fans.”
For those skeptical about whether academic Warhammer theories could captivate them, last year’s talks are now available on the Warhammer Conference YouTube channel, covering a range of topics from philosophy to literature and games studies.
Upcoming discussions may delve into various intriguing subjects, sparking excitement for the insightful dialogue the conference is sure to foster. If you’re an academic interested in sharing your insights, abstracts are welcome until June 30. For details on attendance and submission, check out the Warhammer Conference website.
