Conflict Erupts in Helldivers 2 as Players Exploit Infinite Mech Spawn Glitch

Helldivers 2 players are facing warnings from moderators for using a game-breaking exploit involving infinite mech spawns.

In Helldivers 2, players are urging each other to refrain from exploiting a recently discovered infinite Stratagem glitch, which allows for unlimited airstrikes on planets. This glitch emerged following a problematic patch that disrupted the normal functionality of Stratagems, enabling players to trigger an overwhelming number of them until the game becomes unplayable. Many gamers have showcased videos of themselves creating chaos by spawning multiple ships and explosions.

PC Gamer’s Sean Martin tested it out himself, managing to fill the skies with various attacks in a private session, noting the simplicity of the exploit. While some find joy in this chaos, many players complain about the disruption it causes to public matches.

A pinned warning has surfaced in the game’s subreddit, threatening to ban those who share videos or images of the exploit due to the overflow of such content. A moderator stated, ‘We do not need hundreds of images and videos flooding the subreddit showing us your undemocratic explosions; it’s become a nuisance.’

On Wednesday, an Arrowhead developer acknowledged the exploit and mentioned that the team is investigating potential fixes, but players continue to disrupt games in their pursuit of fun. As frustrations rise, one player expressed, ‘Those who abuse this to crash other games are ruining the experience.’ Consequently, many look forward to a hotfix that would restore some order in their gaming sessions.
