'As the Gamer's World Ends, Players Celebrate with a Final Dance'

As the anime MMO Blue Protocol closes, players come together to bid farewell with a spirited virtual dance party.

As the anime MMO Blue Protocol prepares for its end on January 18, 2025, players are choosing to come together for a final farewell in style. Following the announcement of its closure, many fans expressed their disappointment, but when the final day came, they gathered in the game’s starting town of Asterliese to partake in a spontaneous farewell dance party.

Videos shared on social media depicted a lively gathering as players danced together, encapsulating the spirit of community that gaming fosters. One player poignantly remarked, “When the world ends, people just dance.”

Titania Gaming captured the last moments of this joyous celebration. Despite its short life span—having launched in Japan in 2023 before being shelved—a strong community was established in that time, highlighting the connections forged within the game.

Interestingly, there are hints that Blue Protocol may evolve into a different form, with reports of a mobile game called Star Resonance, developed by a Chinese studio.

As the players danced in remembrance, it became evident that the goodbyes in gaming are often accompanied by celebration and cherished memories.
