New Pre-Painted Miniatures for Baldur's Gate 3 Spark Controversy

The latest miniatures release for Baldur's Gate 3 has stirred disappointment among fans due to quality issues.

Wizards of the Coast has unveiled a new line of pre-painted miniatures for Baldur’s Gate 3 via WizKids, but feedback hasn’t been great. Many recipients have complained about the poor quality of the models, comparing some to being hit with an Acid Spray or worse.

One notable criticism comes from Larian’s own senior cinematic artist, Elodie Ceselli, who remarked, “Only Gale has a decent face. It’s expensive for a 5 years old painting work… Shame on you @Wizards_DnD.”

Another frustrated player even reported receiving a Shadowheart miniature that was headless, which raises questions about the production quality. Fans express disappointment over what they feel are high prices for subpar models, despite the entertainment value in tabletop gaming.

While these miniatures are supposed to offer exciting collectibles, it seems they may need significant improvements. The cost of a box set is approximately $50, giving about $7.10 per figure, not necessarily ensuring the quality buyers expect.
