
10 Million Sales of Monster Hunter Wilds Propel Capcom to Record Profits for the Eighth Year
Capcom has reported record profits for the eighth consecutive year, thanks in part to the success of Monster Hunter Wilds, which surpassed 10 million copies sold.
Capcom recently unveiled its consolidated financial results for the fiscal year 2024, showcasing exceptional performance. The company has reported its highest annual profits yet, marking its eighth consecutive year of growth, with a net income of ¥48.45 billion (approximately $328 million).
Beyond profits, Capcom revealed that it sold 51.87 million games over the fiscal year, a record high for the company. A significant contributor to this success was the game Monster Hunter Wilds, which surpassed 10 million sales by March 31.

In addition to Monster Hunter Wilds, Capcom reported strong sales figures for its other popular titles. Monster Hunter: World sold 3.1 million copies, and Monster Hunter: Rise contributed 2.4 million copies to the total. Overall, the Monster Hunter series has sold over 100 million copies to date.
Moreover, Capcom’s success was not limited to the Monster Hunter franchise; Resident Evil sales exceeded 8 million copies, while Street Fighter and Dragon’s Dogma 2 also made notable contributions to the year’s sales.
Looking forward, Capcom plans to continue focusing on its catalog sales, particularly for games released in previous fiscal years, with continued support expected for Monster Hunter Wilds post-release.
