Lawsuit from Nintendo Can't Halt Palworld's Collaboration with Terraria This Summer

Despite facing a legal challenge from Nintendo, Palworld is proceeding with plans for a summer update, including collaboration with Terraria and the addition of new features.

Nintendo’s recent legal action hasn’t impeded Palworld, which is set to debut a collaborative update titled Tides of Terraria this summer. This update aims to integrate elements from the beloved indie game, Terraria, allowing players to engage with and capture creatures from it just like they do with Pals in Palworld.

Although details from Pocketpair’s announcement remain sparse, it assures players they can expect to ‘catch, train, fight, and work monsters from Terraria just like Pals.’ As I reflect on my experiences in both games, it’s amusing to think about a Terraria slime laboring away on tasks for my base.

Insights about Palworld’s integration with Terraria hint at upcoming additions of new Pals and islands. While updates continue despite Nintendo’s ongoing dissatisfaction with certain gameplay mechanics—like the recent removal of using Pals as gliders—Pocketpair remains committed to regular game enhancements. More information about the Tides of Terraria update will be shared on Palworld’s social media in the weeks ahead.

Furthermore, Palworld is currently available at a 25% discount on Steam, part of the Creature Collector Fest sale, which runs until May 19, perfect for gearing up for the upcoming update.
