Upcoming Expansion for Risk of Rain 2 Announced

At its PAX East panel, Gearbox revealed the third expansion for Risk of Rain 2 titled ‘Alloyed Collective.’ This new update aims to enhance nearly every aspect of the game, featuring action-packed sequences with survivors battling the Solus, unique orb-shaped robots present since the game’s launch.
The Solus are portrayed as wanting to return home, and players will need to defeat the Solus Wing, presumably a new boss, by exploring new areas of Petrichor V.
In the press release, Gearbox stated the expansion will include:
- Six new stages
- Two new survivors
- Seven new types of drones
- A new drone station for customization
- Seven new enemy types, including the Solus
- Fifteen new items
- A challenging new encounter with the Teleporter
- A unique final boss that redefines the endgame experience.
