Bam Margera’s return as a Secret Skater in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 has been officially confirmed through a video shared on social media.
Initially, fans were surprised to find Margera absent from the skater lineup, which was revealed earlier. Speculations heightened when it was disclosed on the skating podcast The Nine Club that Tony Hawk had insisted on including Margera in the game, even after development had wrapped.
Hawk reportedly pushed Activision to ensure Margera was flown out for body scanning to reintroduce his character. The announcement quashed previous doubts about his absence from the remaster, as a video declaring “BAM. IS. BACK” circulated online.
In the video, Margera was seen undergoing physical scans, and he reminisced about his obsession with the second Tony Hawk game, which led him to miss numerous flights. He humorously remarked on needing to allow himself to enjoy video games again, particularly since this installment promises to be a worthy experience.
“The second Tony Hawk game, I was so obsessed with playing [the game] that I was missing flights over it.”
“I’m going to have to let myself play video games again, because this one will be well worth it.”
Margera’s initial debut as a character was in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3, maintaining his place in every sequel up until Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground. Now, fans are excited to see how they will unlock him when the game launches on July 11.
