New Classes Added in Upcoming Elden Ring Update
Elden Ring's Tarnished Edition will introduce two new starting classes along with a powerful weapon previously hard to acquire.
Elden Ring’s upcoming Tarnished Edition won’t just add new weapons; it will introduce two fresh starting classes inspired by characters from Souls games of the past. One class will wield the Milady Light Greatsword, a sought-after weapon that was previously obtainable only through defeating a challenging endgame boss.
A press event about the Tarnished Edition revealed images (view them via Famitsu) detailing the new classes, which are currently translated as “Knight of Ides” and “Heavy Knight.”
The Knight of Ides stands out with a visually impressive armor set reminiscent of the iconic Fluted Armor from Demon’s Souls. This class is expected to resonate with players focusing on Dexterity or Quality builds.
Conversely, the Heavy Knight, as implied by its name, embodies a more robust playstyle, equipped with formidable black plate armor and a large sword resembling a curved falchion. These new additions promise a unique approach to character customization.
Fans are hopeful that these classes will be available for both the Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.
