Dungeons & Dragons' Artificers to be Enhanced in New Rules Update
The upcoming supplement for Dungeons & Dragons introduces revisions for artificers, including new subclasses and innovative gameplay features.
The forthcoming Dungeons & Dragons supplement titled Eberron: Forge of the Artificer is set to bring significant updates to the artificer class before the 2024 rules update.
The book will enhance the artificer’s gameplay with additional subclasses, including a new cartographer subclass that offers features focused on navigation and tracking.
One of the standout elements is the new cartographer subclass, which employs magical maps to assist players in scouting and exploring their surroundings. This revised subclass promises to capture the essence of blending roles, merging elements of the artificer with skills reminiscent of a ranger, but without requiring a complete multiclass approach.
Furthermore, this update will feature a range of new player options, from mechanics to spells, along with the integration of specialized feats linked to Eberron’s unique lore.
Eberron: Forge of the Artificer is slated for release on August 19 and is currently available for preorder in both physical and digital formats. Preorders may also include themed digital goods for use on DND Beyond.
