Alienware has recently revealed its latest gaming laptops known as the ‘Aurora,’ which highlight a contemporary and streamlined design. Featuring rounded edges, a simple logo, and a tapered front that aids in one-handed opening, these models break away from the typical bulky designs previously associated with the brand.
Though some may consider this minimalistic approach monotonous, these laptops still showcase significant changes compared to Alienware’s usual aesthetic.
The new design adheres to the company’s latest ‘AW30’ design philosophy, which is said to be influenced by extraterrestrial elements. This initiative aims to impart a mysterious and transcendent vibe synonymous with the Alienware brand.
According to Alienware, the Aurora series will establish two distinct categories for their gear: the Area-51 tier, which is their premium offering focused on maximum performance, and the Aurora tier, which balances strong capabilities within a more elegant framework.
Regarding specifications, the Aurora 16X stands out with superior features including up to 64 GB of DDR5 RAM, advanced Core Ultra processors, and 240 Hz display options. Conversely, the standard Aurora model provides choices from the RTX 3050/70 range.
The devices are expected to launch in EMEA on May 27, 2025, commencing at a price of £899, with more configurations set to follow.
