The celebrated soundtrack of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has achieved a remarkable feat by reaching the top of Billboard’s Classical Album Chart, marking a significant cultural milestone for the game. Receiving over 18 million streams since its release, the soundtrack has resonated with fans and listeners alike.

“Our soundtrack is connecting far beyond what we ever imagined,” the game studio shared on social media. “Over 18 million streams since launch. Wow.”

The album not only leads the Classical Album Chart but also ranks highly on several others, including the Official Soundtrack Album Chart at #13 and #31 on the Official Album Download Chart.

Featuring a total of 154 tracks that span over eight hours, the music has been praised for its captivating melodies and dynamic compositions. The standout piece highlights Monoco’s theme, crafted by composer Lorien Testard, who had no previous experience working in video game music before this project.

Beyond the music, Expedition 33 has garnered popularity for its gameplay, selling over 1 million copies within the first three days of its release despite being part of Game Pass. French President Emmanuel Macron even recognized the game’s success on Instagram, heralding it as “a shining example of French audacity and creativity.”
