Titan Quest 2's Early Access Postponed Amidst Competition Concerns

The launch of Titan Quest 2's early access has been delayed to summer as developers monitor market competition, citing encouraging results from recent playtests.

In unfortunate news for fans of mythology and action RPGs, Titan Quest 2 will not be arriving in early access as soon as many had hoped. Developer Grimlore Games disclosed in a recent Steam post that its launch has been postponed until summer, previously set for Winter 2024/2025.
This delay comes as the studio observes intense competition in the ARPG genre. Grimlore mentioned that they have been “closely monitoring the market and realized there was a lot of noise with regards to ARPG in our targeted release window.”
Despite the setback, the team’s recent playtesting yielded incredibly motivating results, with 92% of surveyed testers reporting a positive experience, a good indication of the game’s potential success.
Grimlore is committed to refining the game based on user feedback, particularly around gameplay speed and combat dynamics, aiming to strike a balance that remains engaging yet accessible.

Quote: “We want to strike a balance between engaging combat and an experience relaxing enough to enjoy after a long day.”
Grimlore is currently working on improvements to combat tempo and aiming mechanics, ensuring that the final version of Titan Quest 2 is as polished as possible.
The exact new date for Titan Quest 2’s early access release is yet to be announced, but developers have expressed eagerness to share this information soon.
