Warhorse Studios has recently revealed that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has surpassed three million copies sold. This success has sparked fascinating discussions about the various activities players are engaging in while immersed in this RPG.
For instance, there are now over three million versions of Henry, the protagonist, in play. Creative Director Daniel Vavra commented on the unique perspective that this signifies multiple manifestations of the character across countless potential scenarios, hinting at a kind of multiverse.
As part of the celebration, it was noted that this in-game character, Henry, has completed almost 195 million lockpicking attempts, stolen 132.3 million items, and accumulated a staggering 489 million kills. In a humorous take, Warhorse pointed out that Henry’s actions have led to a body count that surpasses that of the Black Plague itself, stating that “Henry is worse than the Black Plague when it comes to killing.”
Voice actor Luke Dale, who plays Henry’s friend Hans, expressed excitement over the game’s success, emphasizing how the recent delay of Grand Theft Auto 6 has opened up the competitive landscape for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, potentially positioning it among game-of-the-year contenders.
The game also made a huge splash at launch, selling over one million copies within the first day, a feat that took the original 10 days to achieve. With its continued sales success, the first installment of Kingdom Come has sold over 10 million copies, solidifying its status as a massive success in the RPG genre.
