Former Nouns Squad Rebrands to Moneyball, Welcomes Swedish Players

The North American esports team Nouns reconfigures as Moneyball, adding two Swedish players to their roster following a funding crisis.

The North American team has decided to change its name to Moneyball while incorporating two relatively unknown Swedish players after losing financial support due to a lack of qualifications for the Austin Major.

The trio of Matthew “Cryptic” Whitmore, Paytyn “junior” Johnson, and Anthony “CLASIA” Kearney will continue their journey under the new name, alongside Swedish players Simon “nomizz” Palm Niléhn and Anton “dottie” Alevärn.
Touching on this change, the team confirmed to Dust2.us.

The organizational support diminished after the team failed to qualify for the Austin Major, leading to the exit of experienced members like William “RUSH” Wierzba and head coach Eric “adreN” Hoag. Additionally, Jaxon “Peeping” Cornwell will also leave in favor of a European-focused lineup.

Having played on teams like X Gamer and Hotspurs, nomizz and dottie relocated to North America earlier this year, now joining Moneyball in their endeavors.

Additionally, the team will conclude the ESL Challenger League season under the Nouns banner, competing with stand-ins for the ongoing matches. Moneyball as a team recently secured a second-place finish at the PrizePicks NA Revival Series 6, with dottie boasting a 1.40 rating during the tournament.
