New Mod Introduces Dark Souls-like Messaging in Oblivion Remastered

A newly developed mod for Oblivion Remastered allows players to leave Dark Souls-style messages for others, enhancing gameplay interaction.

A new modification for Oblivion Remastered, titled Ghosts of Tamriel, introduces a feature allowing players to leave messages reminiscent of those found in Dark Souls. This mod offers players the ability to drop floating messages throughout Cyrodiil, which can be read by others using the mod.

How It Works

The mod allows you to easily drop a message by simply pressing CTRL. These messages appear as glowing Welkynd Stones, providing a flexible alternative to the predefined phrases in FromSoftware’s games. As modders yamashi and jay-jay describe, the system allows total freedom for players to express themselves, with an upvoting and downvoting mechanism, ensuring that the most popular messages remain visible while others can be hidden.

Messages evaporate after 24 hours unless they receive upvotes to extend their lifespan, ensuring a constantly changing and engaging environment.

For players eager to add more humor to their gameplay experience, this mod is a step towards a richer interaction within the iconic world of Oblivion. Check out the mod here!
