Developer of Drug Dealer Simulator Prefers Peace Over Legal Battle with Schedule 1

The creators of Drug Dealer Simulator express they do not wish to pursue legal action against Schedule 1, following a disappointing investigation by their publisher, Movie Games S.A.

Byterunners, the studio behind Drug Dealer Simulator 2, has stated they would “not pursue any legal action against Schedule 1 in any shape or form” if they could decide the course of events.

The controversy erupted when Movie Games S.A., the publisher of Drug Dealer Simulator 2, announced an investigation into Schedule 1 for potential copyright infringement shortly after its release in late March. The reactions from fans led to Drug Dealer Simulator 2 receiving significant negative reviews, causing unrest among its fanbase.

Despite the tension, Byterunners clarified their stance on the matter. They acknowledged some similarities between the two games but emphasized they don’t feel wronged. The developers pointed out that Schedule 1 offers its unique flair and fresh concepts while drawing inspiration from Drug Dealer Simulator 1.

“We as the developers do not feel like we are being robbed by anyone.”

Byterunners explicitly stated that if they had the authority, they would prefer to settle matters amicably rather than engage in any legal disputes.

They further pledged their commitment to the gaming community, expressing a desire for harmony and urging that no one should endure negativity due to industry disputes.
