First Benchmark Results of RTX 5060 Laptops Are Revealed
The early benchmark scores for RTX 5060 laptops suggest improved performance compared to previous models.
As we approach May, anticipation builds for budget-friendly laptops and gaming PCs, particularly with the arrival of new entry-level GPU models. While actual prices often fall short of MSRP expectations, recent benchmark scores for the RTX 5060 laptops offer a promising glimpse of what’s to come.
The first benchmark results from GeekBench OpenCL have surfaced, showcasing the Colorful “iGame M15 Origo” and “P15 Pro” scoring 102,564 and 109,431, respectively, both featuring the RTX 5060 laptop GPU.
It’s difficult to derive much from an OpenCL score alone, as this framework isn’t widely used for most GPU rendering tasks, though it still provides some insight. Furthermore, GeekBench scores can be quite variable, without revealing the power limits of the RTX 5060 GPUs.
VideoCardz reports that these results present an 18% increase in performance compared to the RTX 4060. According to additional data, the RTX 4060 averages a score of 89,099, positioning the RTX 5060 results as 14% and 22% faster, corresponding to the observed performance increase.
Furthermore, the maximum clock speeds for the RTX 5060 laptop GPUs were recorded at 2,025 MHz and 2,212 MHz, similar to the 2,370 MHz maximum boost of the RTX 4060. Nvidia has officially announced the RTX 5060 laptops, which will be available next month, starting at $1,099—though it’s uncertain if this price will reflect entry-level models or higher-end variants.
