Infinity Nikki’s Steam Debut Receives Mixed Reviews Due to Launch Issues

Infinity Nikki's recently launched on Steam but faces a rocky start with numerous bugs causing player complaints.

Infinity Nikki has recently made its entry on Steam following a successful launch in December, yet it now grapples with a host of challenges. Players are facing significant hurdles such as game crashes and server access issues, which have led to mixed reviews from the community.

Trouble with the 1.5 Update

The problems arise from the 1.5 update, rolled out on April 28, causing instability across all platforms, including its dedicated launcher. Players who eagerly anticipated the Steam launch are understandably disappointed.

One user shared their frustration on Steam stating, “the game crashes when I try to open it. I tried several times, but it crashes at different points. I haven’t been able to come far enough to join a server.”

Another long-time player reported that the update introduced numerous bugs, rendering the game generally unstable.

Issues with Linux Users

Moreover, the game has shown incompatibility with Linux, with users expressing their frustration about being unable to launch the game on this platform. A player voiced their unhappiness claiming, “Linux is unnecessarily blacklisted” from accessing the game, reflecting the ongoing issues for a segment of the community.

In a recent post on the Infinity Nikki official blog, players are encouraged to report any issues via customer support. Despite this, many are still encountering a black screen instead of the game, prompting them to leave negative feedback in hopes of being heard.

Though the ongoing issues are frustrating, there’s hope that Infold Games will release a fix soon, allowing players to enjoy their adventures in Miraland once more.
