Capcom recently announced that the Resident Evil 4 Remake, a much-anticipated revival of the classic game, has achieved remarkable success by selling 10 million copies. This milestone makes it the fastest entry in the Resident Evil franchise to reach this sales figure.
In a press release from Capcom, the company noted that while the Remake claims the title for quickest sales, other titles like Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 2 Remake have higher overall sales, with 11 million and 15 million copies sold, respectively. This reflects Capcom’s successful long-term sales strategy.
In Rich’s review, he pointed out that while the remake does not replicate all the original’s eccentricities, it significantly enhances the combat experience. The phrase “Un forastero!” still induces chills for many players.
Presently, the game is offered at a discounted price during Capcom’s “Golden Week” sale on Steam, making it available for $20 (£16.50). Fans eagerly await news about the next installment in the series, which is under development, under the guidance of Koshi Nakanishi, the chief designer from Resident Evil 7.
