Brawlhalla Unveils General Grievous as a New Playable Character for Upcoming Event

Ubisoft's Brawlhalla introduces General Grievous in its May the 4th Wave 2 event, featuring new maps and items.

Summary

Ubisoft alongside Blue Mammoth Games has announced that General Grievous, a character from Star Wars: Episode 3 - Revenge of the Sith, will join the ranks of playable characters in Brawlhalla with an upcoming update. This continues the ongoing collaboration with Star Wars that began in 2024, which allowed players to control notable figures like Han Solo and The Mandalorian.

Upcoming Features

With the launch of this update scheduled for April 30 as part of the May the 4th Wave 2 event, players can expect:

  • A playable character in General Grievous
  • The Small Theed Generator map
  • An Asgardian Greal Lightsaber
  • A Death Star Hologram Orb

Brawlhalla is also known for its various crossover events, previously featuring collaborations with franchises such as Assassin’s Creed, Mega Man, and Street Fighter. General Grievous and other Star Wars characters—as skins for existing fighters—will possess unique weapons reflective of their respective series.

Trailer Release

A preview trailer has been released showcasing gameplay with General Grievous battling against other characters from Brawlhalla. Fans displayed excitement on social media platforms but expressed disappointment over the absence of Yoda in the latest Wave 2 event.

Looking Ahead

After the event, Star Wars fans can anticipate the ‘A Pirate’s Fortune’ DLC for Star Wars Outlaws, set to launch on May 15. This story will see characters Kay Vess and Nix embark on a new quest following the main storyline.
