Doug Cockle Enthusiastic About Ciri’s Role in The Witcher 4 and the Importance of Reading
Reading is beneficial for both the mind and imagination.
The upcoming title, The Witcher 4, will shift its focus from Geralt to Ciri, a decision that excites Doug Cockle, the voice behind Geralt. He embraces the change and believes it provides an interesting angle, though he encourages fans not to miss out on the books.
“I’m really excited,” Cockle stated. “I think it’s a really good move. I always thought that continuing the saga, but shifting to Ciri would be a really, really interesting move for all kinds of reasons, but mostly from the events in the books which I don’t want to spoil because I want people to read them. So yeah, I think it’s really exciting. I can’t wait to see what they’ve done.”
Ciri, who plays a pivotal role in the lore, offers a blank canvas for exploration, as she’s not as well-defined in the games, allowing for a unique player experience.
Cockle did mention that Geralt will have a presence in The Witcher 4, hinting at some involvement without revealing specifics, stating that any additional details about the game are still a mystery to him.
As fans anticipate the game’s release, the community remains engaged, eager to see how CD Projekt will unfold this new chapter in a beloved franchise.
