Iwot Studios, the company behind the Wheel of Time TV series on Amazon, has announced that it is developing a new triple-A open-world RPG based on Robert Jordan’s iconic series.

Game Overview

The forthcoming game aims to encompass the entirety of the Wheel of Time universe, described by CEO Rick Selvage as “an open-world game that will cover everything contained within the books and the backstory components.”

Development Team

The project is being spearheaded by Craig Alexander, a former Warner Bros Games executive with a history including work on titles such as The Lord of the Rings Online and Batman: Arkham Underworld.

Future Plans

Iwot Studios acquired these rights back in 2004 and plans to blend this RPG with existing film and TV projects under their broader strategy to expand The Wheel of Time franchise across multiple media.

Anticipated Release

While a specific release date has not been revealed, the studio estimates the development of the game will take approximately three years, targeting launch on PC and consoles.
