The Outlast Trials Season 3 Debuts Today, Introducing a New Foe and the Chance to Test Your Friends
The Outlast Trials is rolling out its third season, enhancing the treacherous experience within the Murkoff facility. If you have a therapy level of 99, you’re invited to take part in “Project: Relapse,” which will reset your progress to zero. Essentially, this sends you back to the start, further prolonging your torturous stay.
The new season introduces a narrative trial set in the “suburbs,” a completely new environment. While specific details remain under wraps, a formidable new enemy—the Jaeger—will be unleashed. Early indications suggest that she is a force to be reckoned with, even overshadowing prior villains of the trials.

The Jaeger won’t just be confined to the new story trial; she could appear in various maps and trials, making her encounters highly unpredictable. In-game, she will track down one random member of your team with lethal intent, leaving players guessing until the encounter unfolds.
Unlike other adversaries, she cannot be stunned with items like bottles or bricks. The probability of being detected while hiding is also heightened. You won’t be able to use your Rig abilities against her, thus your only option is to stay mobile while navigating the trials. Thankfully, the Jaeger’s movement is relatively slow—providing some respite for players struggling against the existing horrors in The Outlast Trials.
Additionally, the update introduces the “Trial Maker,” allowing players to construct their own trials based on existing maps. This feature will enable you to customize objectives, such as collecting items, making it a thrilling and personal experience in this co-op horror game.
