According to a recent investor report, 2024 proved to be an exceptionally profitable year for 11 Bit Studios, which reported revenues of PLN 140.54 million (approximately £28.21 million), marking a 168.9% increase from the previous year. This surge in sales is largely attributed to the release of Frostpunk 2.

“We sold 592,000 copies of the game,” stated the president of 11 Bit Studios, Przemysław Marszał.

The success of Frostpunk 2 has led to the announcement of an upcoming title in the Frostpunk series, anticipated to arrive as early as 2027. Marszał elaborated, **“We intend to diversify both the scale of our projects and their development timelines, capitalizing on financially attractive opportunities.” **

Furthermore, sales from legacy games such as Frostpunk and This War of Mine contributed notably to the revenue, with their combined performance providing PLN 35.75 million (£7.18 million), indicating a 13.7% rise in sales compared to 2023. Despite the success, 11 Bit Studios recorded an operating loss of PLN 2.84 million (£570,000), as the revenue growth did not align with an increase in profit margins.

Moving forward, the studio confirmed ongoing support for Frostpunk 2 with DLCs and will continue to develop new features, underlining the importance of expanding the Frostpunk universe. “The sharp increase in our revenue primarily came from the new game launches, especially Frostpunk 2, which has set a new benchmark for our company,” Marszał said.
