Steam's Recent Sale Only Covers 0.367% of Its 135,000 Games

Steam is hosting a sale that exclusively features games centered around box-pushing mechanics, highlighting a niche category amongst its vast library.

The latest Steam event is themed around box-pushing games.

It’s important to note that Valve has made it clear that only games centered on pushing boxes are eligible: no more, no less. As highlighted on the Steamworks documentation page, games that involve box-pushing mechanics as a main gameplay feature qualify, whereas those that treat it as a minor element do not.

Lest there be any doubt, Valve is not kidding when it says, with emphasis, that this fest is about pushing boxes: Nothing more or less, and definitely not pulling them.

This sale’s concept draws inspiration from Sokoban, a classic game from 1982. While the event does not boast the largest selection, several noteworthy titles are included, such as Patrick’s Parabox, Stephen’s Sausage Roll, and Bonfire Peaks.

The Box-Pushing Fest runs until April 28.
