The Pokémon Company has announced that Eevee will be the next life-sized plush toy added to their collection, following fan-favored characters like Slowpoke and Porygon. Eevee, renowned since the introduction of Generation 1, captures hearts with its transformative abilities into various elemental types and adorable designs that have kept it among the most beloved Pokémon, even as others have slipped into obscurity on the extensive roster of over 1000 Pokémon.
As part of the new plush collection, Eevee will be presented in a charming lying-down pose, looking up cutely. Exact dimensions for the plush have not been disclosed, but with its official Pokédex height being about a foot, fans can expect a similar size.
Arriving at Pokémon Centers in Japan, the Eevee plush will be available for pre-order starting April 24 and officially on sale from April 26, priced at 3850 yen, roughly equivalent to $27 USD. This pricing is modest, especially when considering previous larger life-sized plush releases, like Gardevoir and Porygon, which were significantly costlier at $319 and $390 respectively.
