Cherry Introduces Enhanced MX Northern Light, Renowned for Precision

Cherry is set to launch its latest innovation, the MX Northern Light switch, which promises to deliver a smoother experience for gamers. This special edition is described as a “love letter” to the keyboard community, showcasing Cherry’s dedication to the craft.

In the announcement, Joakim Jansson, head of product management at Cherry, expressed, “This is our most refined linear switch to date, and it’s made for the people who helped inspire it. MX Northern Light reflects what happens when Cherry listens closely to its community and pushes the limits of precision engineering.”

The announcement indicates that the MX Northern Light switch is engineered using the latest MX2 technology, which has received mixed feedback in past products. Cherry is hoping to refine this technology with their new special edition, inviting gamers to engage with the improvements.

Additionally, there will be a limited-release keyboard, the Xtrfy K5V2 + GP6 Northern Light, featuring beautiful light blue tones reminiscent of the Aurora Borealis, as well as matching desk mats. Customers can pre-order the switches for $30 USD and the keyboard set for $159.
