Rebellion's CEO Hints at Expanding Atomfall If Resources Permit
Rebellion's CEO discusses the success of Atomfall and potential for more installments, contingent on resource availability.
Rebellion’s open world shooter Atomfall launched in March, competing against other popular titles like hazelight’s Split Fiction and Assassin’s Creed Shadows. According to CEO Jason Kingsley, Atomfall has achieved great success, sparking discussions about continuing the franchise.
During an interview with GamesIndustry.biz, Kingsley expressed uncertainty on whether the scale of their projects was spot on, stating, “I don’t think we got it just right. One of the things Chris and I want to do is repeat success… Now it looks like we want to do more Atomfall.”
Although specific sales figures weren’t disclosed, it was mentioned that Atomfall had surpassed two million players by mid-April, indicating a level of performance exceeding their expectations. Kingsley noted that the game’s visibility on Microsoft’s Game Pass service significantly contributed to its success.
