Overview
The dedicated Mario Kart World Direct revealed six new items that racers can utilize to gain an advantage in various game modes.
New Items Introduced:
- Coin Shell
- Releases coins when dropped, allowing others to collect them and boost speed.
- Ice Flower
- Can freeze opponents, making them unable to control their kart temporarily.
- Hammer
- Stuns racers in its path, blocking their drift.
- Mega Mushroom
- Grows the player and their kart, enabling them to crush opponents.
- Feather
- Allows for elevated jumps and dodging obstacles.
- Kamek
- Transforms racers unpredictably, adding an element of chaos.
Gameplay Changes
In addition to these new items, Mario Kart World will introduce a Knockout Mode and a Freeroam Mode, alongside new characters and mechanics reshaping strategies on the track. To be released on June 5 exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2, players are gearing up for these exciting additions to the beloved racing series.
