Concerning the recently released Balatro, van Halderen noted that he quickly completed gold stakes, even catching LocalThunk by surprise. “When I beat that challenge, I sent him the video of the score, going, like, screw you. Yeah, I got it! And he was mad at me, like, ‘How did you do this so fast?” he recounted.

Van Halderen expressed his eagerness to see upcoming updates for the game and is particularly awaiting new joker cards, as both he and the game developer are keen on future challenges.
