Marathon Unveils Diverse Class Roster Ahead of Launch

Marathon has showcased its first four playable classes, referred to as Runners: Blackbird, Glitch, Locus, and Void. Each class presents a unique set of strengths and weaknesses, creating diverse gameplay styles.

The extraction shooter from Bungie is set to release on September 23, with additional character archetypes promised for launch day.

The surprise revival of the Marathon franchise was announced in May 2023. This game marks the first extraction shooter in the previously dormant series and is also the first release from Bungie following its acquisition by Sony Interactive Entertainment in July 2022.

Class Details

• Blackbird: A defensive character capable of scouting enemy locations, promoting calculated gameplay.
• Glitch: Fast and nimble, focusing on superior positioning in combat.
• Locus: Offers strong offensive capabilities, rewarding aggressive playstyle.
• Void: Stealth-focused, equipped with active camouflage and smoke grenades for hit-and-run tactics.

Bungie intends to reveal two more classes before the game launches, keeping fans eager for more details.
