Upcoming Enshrouded Update Promises Thrilling Changes
Today at the Triple-I Initiative, the open-world survival RPG Enshrouded revealed exciting forthcoming updates encapsulated in the phrase “Rebirth of the Shroud.”
This new iteration introduces formidable monsters and enigmatic locations in the shrouded territories of the world, providing players compelling reasons to explore, like a system that allows for the crafting of powerful, customizable weapons.

The creative director, Antony Christoulakis, mentioned, “the shroud was not robust enough from our viewpoint. We are integrating new enemies and enhancing the terrain, adding varied points of interest to these areas. We aim to elevate the combat experience as well.”
With the forthcoming update, players can locate special gems that can be inserted into weapons, providing various enhancements. “You will likely discover these gems during battles or in treasure chests. They can also be modified to retain their benefits throughout gameplay,” Christoulakis stated.
Crafting will not occur at base; rather, players will need to locate special forges hidden throughout the perilous regions to customize their weapons with these gems. “Higher quality weapons will have a greater likelihood of containing slots for these gems,” he added.
Christoulakis also highlighted improvements to nighttime gameplay stating, “We will introduce elements that only appear at night, essential for solving various challenges.”
Despite popular demand for water to be added to the environment, this will not be included in the upcoming update, but he reassured that it is a work in progress.
This update, titled Thralls of Twilight, will mark the sixth major overhaul of Enshrouded since its early access launch in January 2024. It is important to note that Enshrouded has reached a milestone of over four million players.
