HBO Confirms Third Season for The Last of Us Ahead of Season Two Premiere

Despite the second season's upcoming debut, HBO has already committed to a third season of The Last of Us, affirming their faith in the series' continued success.

Despite the second season not airing until April 13 of this year, HBO has announced it will renew The Last of Us for a third season.

“We approached season two with the goal of creating something we could be proud of,” Craig Mazin, the executive producer, stated.
Translation: “We set out to create a proud project with season two.”

Additionally, Francesca Orsi, HBO’s executive vice president, praised the entire production team for their remarkable work.

“It can’t be overemphasized how proud HBO is for the outstanding achievement we believe the second season of The Last of Us is,” she remarked.
Translation: “We are extremely proud of what the second season has achieved.”

The critical acclaim for the series is evident, with several reviews highlighting its impact on video game adaptations.
