Previously, Rocket’s ultimate primarily offered a damage boost, which was often not utilized effectively by players. The change comes with the developers acknowledging feedback that the previous mechanics did not meet gameplay expectations.

• New Healing Mechanic: Rocket Raccoon will now heal linked allies, significantly enhancing team survivability. The developers state, “Rocket’s healing abilities will see some adjustments to enhance team survivability.”
• Damage Reduction and Energetics: The damage boost during his ultimate has been adjusted downwards, but healing has been integrated, which players see as a game-changer.
